Dr. Eric Smith is the Founder and Lead Pastor of Hope City Church in Southwest Florida, bringing more than 20 years of ministry leadership experience. He previously founded Vertical Church in Mississippi, which became one of the fastest-growing churches in the state and expanded to four campuses, and co-founded the 242 Network, a church-planting network that trains and coaches leaders.

After seven years, Eric led the revitalization of Vaughn Forest Church in Montgomery, Alabama, which was later named one of Outreach Magazine’s “100 Fastest Growing Churches in America.” He also serves as a consultant to churches and organizations nationwide. Dr. Smith holds a Doctor of Ministry from Liberty University, along with an M.A. and M.Div. He and his wife, Krystal, live in Naples, Florida, with their son, Weathers.
